Preschoolers are bundle of energy looking to make new discoveries, playing and learning new activities. They have a fresh mind and are open to learning new language, basics of reading and even elementary math and science concepts. Nowadays kids grow up to learn computer games as part of pre school activities and enjoy the interactive process of learning.

Some interesting preschool activities are:

  • Fun with alphabet: There are various games and interactive software to introduce your little one about alphabets. “A” is no longer reserved for apple it may be aeroplane or asteroid. While teaching ABC you can take a child around the world. So “A” may stand for antelope and “C” for crab. There are software designed in such a way that as the pointer points a letter, user can hear name of the alphabet along with animated word. Some software also show pictures of the related objects. This makes learning alphabets a fun process.
  • Puzzles: For little ones who are learning to count numbers connect-the-dot puzzle come as a bonanza. These are printable puzzles with dots numbered from 1-20 or may be up to 100. As a child joins the dot sequentially, picture of the object reveals. Coloring the cute picture comes as a reward for this kid’s game. It is very useful and popular activity for pre school children.
  • Crafting: This is engaging and creative activity that may involve crafting easy models from play dough. Soft tissues, markers, tootsie ribbons are some materials required to decorate models. Help the little one by supplying materials to decorate the model crafted from dough. Crafting activities may also include construction of simple models, cutting and pasting activities. It is not about how perfectly a child crafts a model, it is important to ensure that the little one enjoys it.
  • Coloring book: A child enjoys coloring pictures. This may be utilized to introduce various new objects to a child for learning. Printable coloring pages available in various websites that cover different topics like alphabets, animals, flowers, patterns and toys arouse curiosity of the little ones and promote learning.
  • Nature study: Introduce a child to the plants, butterflies, insects and different types of animals. Bird watching is another interesting part of nature study.
