Children are eager learner but sometime when it comes to school subject, they seem to be lacking the needful enthusiasm. That is because they find their school subjects like math, science or biology lacking that interest and stimulation. It is then left to you as parent to make it a fun-learn for your kids. In this entertaining way, they tend to learn new things without realizing it. Here are some tips on how to make science, one of the most dreaded subjects interesting for your child.

  • Reading is necessary for young ones and you can make it fun by involving yourself and your child in the process. Choose science books according to the child’s age and reading skills. Make sure that it has lots of pictures to explain the principals of science. The language should be easy and it is better if they have cartoon characters or other such characters explaining things. You can choose a little more serious book if your child is a teenager.
  • The love for science cannot develop in one day. From the very beginning, encourage him to ask questions regarding everything. You will be surprised how easily various theories of science will be easily explained by everyday activity! But first you must know the correct answers. If you don’t know, then make it a fun project of learning it together.
  • To relieve your kid’s boredom from merely reading science books, you can get science toys and games for him. Kids’ games have a wide variety, based on topics, such as animals, physics, history or earth science. They are also grouped according to their types, as for example, jigsaw puzzle, quiz or crossword. Classic Newton’s cradle, Drinking bird, Fun Fly Stick, Sun Print Kits, math games, Staying Healthy Scramble Quiz are few of the popular brands that most kids look for these days. An online store has a whole gamut of such stuff which will never let you down.
  • Visit science museums and other such places with him on holidays and weekends. These places have exhibits that explain the most difficult physics theory in a easy way. Your child will love to see them and understand the principals behind it. All these will surely increase his thrust for knowledge and his performance in school as well.

I love science - and one of my children is the same. Science can be fun for kids and I always managed to incorporate a little science into activities. Like when baking, I'd explain how the heat baked the cookies and so on.

I also live near a science museum, a place that my kids and I have been to many times. Science is an important aspect of a childs learning and development, and your hub explains it well.

Great info, rated up.
