Party games are the most fun at any party, but what is suitable for a child? A birthday party is no fun without good kid-friendly games to incorporate into the day. Classics are a little boring and overused, so it is important to think outside the box.

Gathering Ideas – 3 Important Things You Should Consider

1. The main thing to consider is the age group of the children. Young kids in the age group 3-5 will probably be pleased with any kind of party game. Older children are harder to please and require more stimulating activities to keep them entertained.

2. The season in which the party is held is also important. Summer birthday parties are excellent for pool games and park parties. Winter isn’t ideal for outdoor adventures.

3. You should also consider your budget. If you already have a Wii with some party games, you don’t need to buy additional materials! This makes it easy to incorporate little contests into the party and is great for almost all age group.

With that in mind, you can choose games for your party. 2-5 is a good number depending on how many children are in attendance. Smaller parties should have fewer games, while bigger parties can benefit from having more than 2.

3 Kids Games You Can Use For Age Group 4-6

  • Hide and seek, but with objects and not people. Hide various goodies around the area and have them hunt them down. They keep what they find.
  • Quiet games that challenge their ability to stay quiet and do certain tasks.
  • Bobbing for apples in a small kiddie pool is a great summer game!

3 Games for Children Aged 6 and Up

  • Wii party games such as Mario Kart and any of the excellent games the console has produced.
  • Pool games such as diving for sticks or Marco Polo.
  • Karaoke and other singing games are a blast for all kids, and they make everyone laugh!

All games can be fun, so just choose what you know everyone can enjoy!

One great party game for older kids is Spontuneous. It's a lyric-based board game that's super fun. If you don't have a Wii or the power goes out, you can still light some candles and play!!
